Supercrete URP 3001

Supercrete URP 3001 is a high-performance, eco-friendly styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) based polymer emulsion, specially formulated for versatile waterproofing and concrete repair applications. It is ready-to-use and ideal for areas prone to leakage and seepage such as bathrooms, toilets, water tanks, and small terraces in new and old constructions. It enhances bonding strength between old and new concrete or plaster, and improves the durability of repair mortar.

Pack Size: 1,5,10,20,50 Litres

Applications Area:

  • Bathrooms, Toilets & Water Tanks
  • Small Terraces & Roofs (with screed topping)
  • Old to New Concrete Joints
  • Masonry and Concrete Repair
  • External Wall Rendering
  • Pinhole Surface Treatment

Surface Preparation

  • Clean the surface thoroughly using a wire brush to remove all dirt, dust, grease, oil, loose particles, and laitance.
  • For damaged concrete areas, remove loose and unsound sections via saw cutting. If not feasible, roughen the surface using wire brushing or grit blasting.
  • After cleaning, saturate the surface with potable water. Remove excess standing water before application.

Features and Advantages

  • Crack Resistance: Enhances flexural strength to prevent crack formation.
  • Surface Hardness: Improves surface integrity and reduces dusting.
  • Shrinkage Control: Minimizes drying shrinkage in cement-based applications.
  • Superior Bonding: Ensures excellent adhesion between new and existing concrete or mortar.
  • Corrosion & Erosion Resistance: Provides protection against corrosion of embedded steel and erosion of concrete.

Method of Application

Waterproofing Application
  • Mix Ratio: Saffrokol SBR Latex : Cement = 1:1.5 (by weight)
  • Add cement into Saffrokol SBR Latex gradually and mix gently to avoid air entrapment.
  • Apply the slurry using a stiff brush.
  • Apply two coats, allowing 4-6 hours drying time between coats.
  • Once dry, apply a protective screed of required thickness and slope.
Bond Coat Application
  • Mix Ratio: Saffrokol SBR Latex : Cement = 1:1 (by weight)
  • Mix gently and apply one coat over the prepared substrate using a brush.
  • While the bond coat is still tacky, apply the repair mortar.
Repair Mortar Application
  • Recommended Mix Proportion:
    • Cement: 50 kg
    • Washed Sand: 150 kg
    • Saffrokol SBR Latex: 5–6 kg
    • Water: 15–16 litres (adjust as needed for desired consistency)
  • Mix thoroughly to achieve a uniform consistency suitable for application.
